So I’m going to try this again this year, with hopefully better results. I got an ear infection last year (not surprising – I get ear infections frequently and always when I’m trying something difficult like this) and by the time I got that and some other life things sorted out, I was like twelve days behind and just gave up.

I have, at least, the inkling of a plan. For the first twenty-eight days, the stories will be classics from a variety of cultures. For the last three days, the stories will be modern fairy tales. Not riffs on classic tales, but new stories that are in essence fairy tales. Maybe next year I’ll tackle retellings.
